Geometry
Ask a tutor a question now:
Geometry is the study of shapes, sizes, patterns, and positions of a thing. Geometry is a branch of mathematics that is concerned with the properties of configurations of geometric objects like point, space, line and plane. It is important to understand the meaning of these basic concepts, on which the entire platform of geometry rests.
- Point: A point is a geometric object, which has a position, but no dimensions and its location can be determined.
- Space: Space is the set of all points namely length, width and height in three dimensional figure.
- Line: A line is a collection of points along a straight path, which extends indefinitely in both the directions.
- Plane: Planes are two-dimensional figures with length and width, but no height and extends indefinitely on all sides. Points that exist on the same plane are termed coplanar.
